Red Pine is committed to welcoming, educating, and retaining members without regard to race, color, national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability or any other reason that the ADF Mother Grove may or may not prohibit.
Drugs and Alcohol Use at Meetings
Red Pine is committed to providing a safe worship environment. The use of alcohol at Rituals should be done in moderation. Red Pine does not condone the use of illegal substances to alter the state of mind, for ritual or recreational purposes, during meetings or rituals. Any member found using excessive amounts of alcohol, or using illegal substances, at rituals or meetings may be subject to disciplinary actions up to and/or including expulsion from the group membership list if warranted.
Public Attendance of Ritual or Gatherings
The public is able to attend our ritual and social gatherings. However, our group study meetings are strictly for members of Red Pine or visiting Mother Grove Officials or Leaders only. If a visitor, that is not a member of Red Pine, Mother Grove, or an ADF Leader, wishes to attend a study group meeting that person must first complete an in person meet and greet with one of the Official Core Members of Red Pine before they can attend. Telephone and/or email meet and greets do not count.
Becoming a Red Pine Member
To become eligible to become an Official Member of Red Pine a person must fill out an application for Official Membership and have at least one existing Official Member petition for their application.
Member Requirements
To be an Official Member of Red Pine a person must meet the following points. Failure to meet these points may result in loss of Official Member Status. To regain Official Member Status said person must then submit a new member application.
1) Be registered with the Ár nDraíocht Féin (ADF) Mother Grove as a member of ADF.
2) Attend at least 1 meeting a month. If a meeting is canceled or rescheduled this does not count against you if you are unable to come to the rescheduled date. (Unless otherwise noted by The Official Core Members)
3) Be present for at least 4 of the 8 High Day Rituals.
4) Lead and/or assist in the leading of at least 1 of the 8 High Day Rituals on the Wheel of the Year.
5) Pay any monetary dues that are set for members of Red Pine Protogrove, ADF. (if any)
Violence
Red Pine will not tolerate any form of violence – verbal, physical or insinuated at the meetings or public rituals and/or gatherings from any source. Red Pine explicitly prohibits any and all acts or threats of violence by an Official Core Member or Official Member against any Official Core Member, Official Member of Red Pine or ADF, former member, or visitor near or on a Red Pine gathering site(s) or elsewhere. Red Pine will not condone any acts or threats of violence against its Official Core Members, Official Members, or visitors by an individual or group at the meetings or public rituals and/or gatherings, or while said individual is engaged in an act on behalf of Red Pine, whether on or off the Red Pine gathering site(s).
Weapons
Red Pine bans all Official Core Members, Official Members and visitors from possessing guns and/or other firearms on a Red Pine gathering site(s). Red Pine also bans any Official Core Member, Official Member, and visitor from possessing any item that is designed and intended for use to intimidate or aid violent or destructive behavior. If any item as described is observed on or near a Red Pine gathering site(s), and is in violation of this by-law, please inform an Official Core Member immediately. (Unless, the gathering site is held within a private home as to where the home owner is then exempted from the weapons clause. Any Official Core Member, Official Member, and visitor that have any weapons that are designed to be a part of ritual dress are also exempted as long as that person is responsible with said item; and are in accordance with State and Local Laws.)
Harassment
Red Pine will not tolerate any harassment of a sexual or hostile nature by any Official Core Member, Official Member, visitor, or the public directed towards a fellow Official Core Member, Official Member, visitor, or the public. Red Pine will investigate any claim of harassment.
Harassment, whether intentional or unintentional, may come in a lot of forms which can include physical, verbal, visual, written and/or many other forms. If you feel that you are experiencing harassment you should ask for it to stop right away and inform an Official Core Member.
Dress Code
Red Pine has a very basic dress code that does need to be adhered to by all Official Core Members, Official Members, and visitors. Failure to follow these really simple guidelines will result in a swift action to correct the violation.
Guidelines:
* Personal hygiene is a MUST for attendance at meetings/gatherings whether public or private.
* Perfume, cologne and aftershave, should be worn in moderation; some folks are allergic to these items.
* Acceptable Dress
* Any item may be worn as long as it is not excessively revealing or depicting offensive pictures or wording. (Unacceptable dress is at the discretion of the Official Core Members.)
Discrepancies with By-Laws and Member’s Handbook Guidelines
If any Official Core Member and/or Official Member has a discrepancy with any of the material contained within the Red Pine Handbook or By-Laws, and wishes for it to be amended please adhere to the following procedure: Please document the discrepancy, including the reason as to why and resolution, and submit the discrepancy and reasoning to the Official Core Members via email at red_pine_adf@hotmail.com.
Once this has been received the Official Core Members will then meet and discuss the issue(s) and by a vote of Two-Thirds will decide whether or not the issue should be changed.
If the Official Core Members vote and the issue(s) is denied change then the matter is settled. However, if the Official Core Members vote and decide that the issue(s) should be possibly changed then a vote will be cast again by all Official Members of Red Pine on a Two-Thirds bases vote. If Two-Thirds vote for the change than it will be changed, if Two-Thirds vote for it to not be changed then it will be declined.
Submitting new ideas for the Members Handbook or By-Laws
If any Official Core Member and/or Official Member has a new idea for the Red Pine Handbook or By-Laws, and wishes for it to be added to the policies please adhere to the following procedure: Please document the idea, including the reason as to why, and submit the idea and reasoning to the Official Core Members via email at red_pine_adf@hotmail.com.
Once this has been received the Official Core Members will then meet and discuss the idea(s) and by a vote of Two-Thirds will decide whether or not the idea should be admitted into the Members Handbook or By-Laws.
If the Official Core Members vote and the idea(s) is denied then the matter is settled. However, if the Official Core Members vote and decide that the idea(s) should be possibly admitted then a vote will be cast again by all Official Members of Red Pine on a Two-Thirds bases vote. If Two-Thirds vote for the idea(s) then it will be admitted, if Two-Thirds vote against the idea(s) then it will be declined.
*All Bylaws and Regulations of Red Pine Protogrove, ADF are subject to change and/or modification by either the Red Pine Protogrove Official Core Members in a majority vote or if mandated by the ADF Mother Grove to revise them. Red Pine Protogrove, ADF Official Core Members reserve the right to make exceptions for an applicant if decided by a majority vote to do so.
